FAQ
Prepare for the Training Conversation
What types of training do you offer?
Our training covers a wide range of computer software applications frequently used in business today. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AI tools like ChatGPT, and Canva are all available for customized sessions.
After years of training, Microsoft Excel remains my most popular program topic.
Is the training intended for beginners or advanced users?
Our training sessions are customized for the users attending each session. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced options are available.
Can the training be customized for our organization?
Yes, we customize the training content. We will assess your organization’s needs and create a training plan to provide appropriate solutions.
On occasion, I will create practice materials from a company’s data set if needed.
How long are the training sessions?
Training sessions can be formatted in one-hour, two-hour, three-hour (half-day) or six-hour (full-day) programs. We are flexible to meet your needs.
How is training delivered - virtually or in-person?
We can deliver training virtually on your favorite platform (Zoom, Microsoft Teams or other); as well as in-person in or at your business or conference location.
How is the cost of training calculated?
Several factors go into calculating the training rate. These are some of the items I will consider:
- Number of Attendees
- Virtual, Hybrid, or In-Person Delivery
- Location & Travel Required
- Complexity of Topic & Customizations Required
- Single Session or Series of Sessions
- Training Materials Needed
- Providing Additional Laptops
I work independently and keep my expenses to a minimum so that I can offer you affordable rates.
How do you assess participant skill level?
Pre-assessments are available on the market and can be a nice tool to discover the actual skill level of your participants.
However, I prefer to begin sessions with foundational concepts to make sure participants haven’t missed important base-level skills. It doesn’t hurt more advanced users to review, and levels the learning for all involved.
Do you have prerequisites for enrolling in your programs?
No prerequisites are required. I encourage participants to stretch into new skills and concepts.
Can you provide references or success stories from previous clients?
Yes! Check the Home page of this website for recent client testimonials!
What kind of training materials do you provide?
I generally make a digital handout or a practice file for all of my training sessions. I often include free quick reference guides and links to additional resources.
Do you provide certificates for training attended?
Yes, I am always happy to provide a certificate of training attendance if needed.
Many of my one-hour sessions are approved by the International Association of Administrative Professionals for CAP recertification points.
